What the heck is going on in Halo 3 on Xbox Live?

Is it just me or has the Assault Rifle been buffed way the heck up recently, Battle Rifle nerfed down, and no shotty snipe games at all. Anyone else noticing this?

Haven't played Halo lately, but it sounds *****d up. Shotty snipers is one of the worst game variants. Its only for people who can't no scope that's why shotgun is there. But I know that there is team snipers now in hardcore which my bro has been playing and he's had a few shotty snipers games.

It seems like Bungie have messed quite a a lot up in Halo 3. Halo 2's gameplay and online was a lot better and fun.
