what's the easiest way to get skill in halo 3?

i guess what i mean is what variant is easiest in ranked. like lone wolves, teams, stuff like that. i'm only 3 skill points away from captain so that's why i'm asking.

Practice Practice Practice... Make sure that you are not playing against people who are way worse than you or outrageously better than you. Watch a few youtube videos to learn some tricks and tips with all of the new weapons and find some secret hiding spots there too. Once you do that, you will build up skill for halo 3. If you are a newbie, then don't start off trying to no-scope snipe people! It is a BAD idea.
