when recording a clip on halo 3.....?

how are some players able to actually follow a grenade or a bullet, or better yet actually let the camera leave the person's point of view to just free roam. i know that you can right click the rs, to switch the players pov, but how can i actually make like a movie of all my best clips?? any suggestions? thnx
