which is better call of duty 4 or halo 3?

which one is more fun to play with and why, which one has a long story mode, which game has lots stuff to do

I have played both and I love me some CoD4. I know people that swear by Halo, but the way I see it is if you need to ask, then your not a Halo fanatic and you would like CoD4 much better. If your still questioning it, then you could always rent each.

call of duty 4 is much better than halo because it is more lifelike and the graphics and gameplay is better.you should also try playing halo 3 to get your own opinion.

I haven't played CoD, but I am a hardcore Halo fan and I guarantee that you will be happy with it. Halo has a bunch of little things like skulls (they modify the gameplay), campagin scoring, easter eggs, armor customization, and a great campagin. Xbox live is a blast, you can forge maps, go back in theater mode and watch your matches, take screencaps and upload them online. You can also post your forged maps on bungie.net along with uploaded clips and pictures.

Halo will satsify you. I know it will.

Depends on your tastes, personally I like COD4, because it's a decent bit more fast paced than Halo, and involves a little more teamwork (if you have a headset).

well everyones choice will be different but i would have to say call of duty four i like the old army style games......the story mode is much longer and its different to me unlike halo games which i think are pretty much all the same

call of duty is more real, its like actually being in a war. halo is more futuristic, but i think its more fun, call of duty also lacks vehicle use. i would get halo

I have played both extensively. Even though HALO is in my top games of all time, I was a bit disappointed with HALO 3. I was VERY pleasantly surprised with Call of Duty 4. The story is excellent, as are the graphics. There are a LOT of cool surprises throughout the game, and the multiplayer is the best experience I have EVER had online with an FPS. The rank system is great, and gets better as you unlock new weapons and perks. Initially it can be a little daunting, because you are coming in at the lowest level, but within a few play sessions you will be hooked.

I enjoyed HALO 3, just not nearly as much as COD 4. HALO 3s online component is fun, but just not nearly as robust as CODs. Also COD requires a slightly more strategic approach than HALOs run-n-gun play. I can not recommend COD 4 enough. It is a truly great game in all respects.

Call of Duty 4, although I have not yet played Halo 3, I heard the multiplayer was awful. The multiplayer in COD4 is great with the ability to level up and access more powerful weapons, perks, etc.

The single player story is kind of short though (took me about 6 hours on easy difficulty) and I imagine that the Halo 3 story mode is much longer, but still those 6 hours were really fun.

Note: I am commenting from the PC perspective as I don't own a PS3 or 360
