I've been seeing the advertisements for the Xbox Halo games and keep thinking that it would possibly make a killer movie, if done right. Deep enough plot to make you care about following the movie, fight scenes, future technology and weaponry... ya I'd either see it in a theater or rent it from Netflix, even though I am not a Microsoft fan.
To be honest, I've never played Halo, I don't own an Xbox, own a PS3 and Wii but just can't get over a the overheat/failure issues or the fact I'd have to pay for connection, unlike PSN and Nintendo's Network, which are free.
I saw the TV advertisements for the Halo 3 game and thought "is this a new movie coming out?". I liked Transformers, haven't seen Rise of Cobra yet (something just seems... not there, dunno), Starship Troupers had a *little* less plot and story to make it a keeper (but if it's the only thing on TV, other than garbage then fine).
Not really a gamer, don't have that much time to invest. I'm into technology in a different way, working with servers, hardware, OS, permissions and the ever-present 3AM call that something broke.
