Why can't I play Halo 3 Solo Campaign after the 1.1 auto update?

OK, so I haven't played Halo 3 for a while but today I thought I would play. My 360 told me there was an update, so I updated. It restarted the game and I went to Resume Solo Campaign. It gave me the loading screen and then nothing happened. Assuming this was a one time glitch, I tried again. It gave me the quicker loading, a black screen, a quick image of something on the left of the screen, the title of the level (Full Circle) and again returns to the title screen. I tried restarting the game as well as the system. It seems that the update did something...but what? I found one forum where this was discussed but it never went anywhere and hasn't been updated since March.

ummm look on youtube and theyll have videos on how to remove the update.
thats all i know.

well this happened to me i loaded the level the chief died and i got kicked back to the main screen. where you useing your 360?
