Why can't I play mlg on halo 3?

I have downloaded every map pack including legendary and mythic and it still says that i don't have the necessary maps needed to play. What's the deal and how do i fix it?

This happened to me, i had to delete the maps and download em again.

Since it appears that you don't have ODST, you don't in truth have all of the map packs, you're missing the other half of the mythic map pack and that only comes on the Mythic Disk that comes with ODST. There are no current plans to release those maps on Xbox Live, so if you really want to play mlg, you're going to have to buy ODST for the Mythic Disk. You might also be able to find the Mythic Disk by itself online somewhere.
