Why does my Halo: Combat Evolved (Halo 1) demo have no blood?

I downloaded the Halo: Combat Evolved Demo for Mac, and I really liked it. I was kinda confused by the lack of blood in this M-Rated game, but I just rolled with it. Yesterday, I was at my friend's house, and I downloaded it to show him. I started playing, and soon noticed that the campaign was suuuuper bloody! Admittedly, the blood was either blue, purple or orange, so it didn't look at all real, but at least there was blood. I went home, played my demo again to make sure I wasn't just missing it, and, sure enough, there was no blood. Well, there was blood, but it didn't spatter the ground and walls when I meleed the dead brutes. It just disappeared as it hit. Please tell me why there is so little blood!!!

I WANT GORE!!!!!

The demo was meant to be for everyone to try. If there was gore, an eight year old could see it, and the company would be sued. You might be able to find a patch for the demo, though.

It's because your PC can't handle it. Halo auto detects graphics settings, and gore is one of the highest requirement settings. Since your PC can't handle it, you get no gore. You can turn it on, but performance will go down.
