Why is it so hard to get a 45 in Halo 3?

I was a 44 and I won 2 in a row I think, it might of been 3, and I still didnt get it.

Now, I lost games because of a noob on my team each game, and Im like a 42?
I guess everyone who plays halo on Yahoo is a noob cuz no one is answering
