why is my halo 3 connection bad?

when I look at my connection on the xbox dashboard it says i have a really good connection but when i play halo 3 on the in game connection bar I get one or two bars and it lags like no other. How do I fix this? Please its super annoying!!

You must not have fast enough internet.

it should just be the Halo 3 Servers, unless you have a slower internet connection than the other players, then that might be the issue

otherwise, ide call your internet provider and see if someone can change the router settings to be gaming compatable
