Why isnt halo 3 displayed all across my tv?

I have a brand new HD plasma tv. When i play halo 3 on my xbox360 the game isnt on the entire screen. There is 2 black strips either side of it. Its alright when i play other games on it. Is there a display thing i have to change??

yes go to the main dashboard and at the end of the line is a thing for system settings.

My HALO3 works well on my usual TV.
Go to settings/options in the game and go to screen settings or somehting then set the screen that fits you up, or you can adjust it direct from your TV or XBOX360.
