why when you play halo is there a player and then a player[1]?

i was playing with this one kid yesterday and his name was hazbin320 then i saw another guy but his name was hazbin[1] why was there 2 hazbin BTW hazbin320 is not real (i think) i was just using it as an example

if there is a [1] or [2] or [3] on the name of a gt that means that they have a guest playing with them as in they have pp, on the same concle

because "hazbin[1]" is hazbin's guest on xbox live

It's a guest, someone playing on the same console as hazbin320, but not on another account. Halo 3 is as far as I know the only place this is allowed.

it happens when someone plays on the same xbox with another person. one of the people has xbox live and the second person signs on the guest profile and the guest will be named the 1st persons user with a 2 after it and the 1st person will have a 1 after it. example person (1) person(2).

Because that was his "guest". When playing Halo, you can play with people at your house. The player[1] is his first guest, and you can have up to four (player[1] player[2] and player[3]). This might be surprising because I'm pretty sure Halo is one of the few games that allow multiple players to play multiplayer on one system.
