Will Bungie tell us what happened to the chief in halo 3 recon?

Its not called Halo 3:Recon.Its called Halo 3:ODST now.
And you are now playing as a ODST and not the chief.So you wont hear much about him.And the new Halo game takes place before the 3rd Halo.

No they won't. Recon doesn't pick up from Halo 3. It just starts a brand new story in the setting of Halo 2
