Will halo 1 and 2 work on my xbox 360 elite?

I have a hard drive and I have xbox live, is there anything else what I need, and would both games have an xbox 360 controll system or would I have to buy a xbox controller or something, Halo 1 is the classic edition for xbox and halo 2 is just for xbox

They will work but you will most likely run into some issues.
