Will I be able to play HALO 1 and 2 NTSC games on XBOX 360 PAL system?

I was told that any game from Microsoft, regardless whether NTSC or PAL, will work properly on Xbox 360. I have a PAL system and I can't find Halo 1 and 2 on PAL. So before I purchase the NTSC version, I just want to be sure that it will work properly. Thanks!

Because I tried once......Bought a freaking Crackdown (PAL) for my NTSC Xbox and it didnt work...
