xbox 360 and halo 3 skulls question?

if i get a skull in campaign can i quit that campaign game and have the skull or do i have to complete the whole entire thing?

Also is there a difference between the arcade bundle 360 and the normal one at target? if so whats the difference?

I think for the skulls you need to complete the level but cmon its HALO 3, you wanna beat the level.

The differences of the systems are the normal=wireless controller (core is not wireless), better grafix, and a bigger hardrive.
