Xbox live halo 3 matchmaking map help?

okay usually i just google my questions but i cant find this anywhere.... ive been playing halo 3 on live for the past 3 days (social slayer) and for some reason it just keeps cyleing through the same 5 freaking maps, even though i have 2 extra map packs downloaded and all the origonal maps... so how do i choose the map or host my own match on a map i choose? i cant figure it out. (oh and btw if you want to add me you can my gamer tag is kingratsy )

You are probably in a playlist that has no DLC. It does cyle like this. Play DLC map section.

The way social slayer works, is that it pools only the maps that EVERYONE your matched with has, and then picks one of those at random. If one person doesn't have a map pack, that map pack will not be in that random selection. If you want to play on the new maps, you can create a custom game and invite people from your players list, or your friends, and select whatever map and gametype you want. Or you could play a different playlist that requires at least one of the map packs to be able to play (when you are choosing a playlist, it will specify which map packs are required on the right side of the screen.)
