HALO 3 I have both those games and halo is so much better and the online play is ownage

Call of Duty 4, it has better graphics, better leveling up system, more weapons, cool things like perks,challenges, ranks, and its very addicting.

i like it since its realistic unlike guys in green suits jumping 20 feet in the air with plasma rays, and the leveling up system is awesome
and if you dont have live then COD4 has a better story to

Call of Duty 4 by a landslide. Halo 3 is only for die hard fans that want to finish the story, while COD 4 have intense gameplay, great online multiplayer, and good graphics.

Hard choise but i say call of duty 4 because of better graphics more intence gameplay and funner and bigger levels also better online gameplay.

Master Chief is yet again on the bottom position of the proverbial seesaw as Call of Duty 4 reclaims the top spot on the Xbox Live Activity list. The game initially overtook Halo 3 two weeks ago, before the Bungie shooter saw a resurgence in Gravity Hammer usage last week.

Usual contenders Gears of War, Rock Band and Guitar Hero III rounded out the top five. Two demos -- Devil May Cry 4 and Turok -- claimed the sixth and eighth spots, respectively. Will Halo 3 yet again heed the call and try to overthrow its duty-bound nemesis? We're expecting an enormous rise in Bomberman Live to settle this feud once and for all.

Halo 3. You should save for call of duty 5. it is much better than call of duty 4, and is coming out soon.

Call of duty 4. If you want online play only get Halo 3 its story mode is terrible but online is good. Call of Duty 4 has much better graphics and a much better campaign mode, it also has a very good online game.

Call of Duty 4. Runs at 60 frames per second for very smooth gameplay. Some of the best photo-realistic graphics ever in a game. Great story, great online (very addictive) gameplay that excels over the highly overrated Halo 3.

It depends on what you are looking for in a shooter.

For the same reasons as everyone else.

halo 3

because i think it has a way better multiplayer combat
but for call of duty 4 you have to have online to play multiplayer unless your on campaign

halo 3 also has a better story line in my opinion
halo 3 is a longer game than C.O.D 4
and halo 3 has great features like forge when you make maps
or the movie mode thing when you can watch your previous games and make a machinima
