Can someone answer some of my Halo 3 multiplayer questions.?

Okay, so I'm thinking about buying an XBox 360 and Halo 3. But I have some questions about multiplayer and XBox Live. The first person to give me all the answers will get the 10 points thing.

1.Is there a multiplayer mode that just me and my friend can play on the same console with split-screen? (sorry, don't know how to word it)

2.Can me and my friend go on Xbox live on the same console and play with split-screen?

1) Yes you can play up to 4 people online and they don't have to have Xbox Live Accounts. They just sign on onto Guest Accounts. One of you guys must have an Xbox Live Membership for that to happen though.
You can play Split-Screen Online and Offline with your friends.

2) Yes up to 4 of your friends can play on Xbox Live. 4 Player Split-Screen is available so you can play with your buddies online. Yes on the same console you just need four controllers.

Yes you can play the full campaign mode as the 1st player is master chief and the 2nd being the arbiter with splitscreen. When you go to online you can play a mode called social and you can play splitscreen with a friend on the same console and he will be signed in as guest. The only downside is that you will be limited to certain types of game modes while playing social matches.

yes for both questions you can play with 4 friends online and on co-op on the same xbox 1 person be master cheif 1 person be arbiter and 2 othere guys just be random plp like the marines or covenant
