cant connect halo 3 live?

xbox live for my game halo 3 is not working i have gold installed and everything. but a small message says "information could not be retrieved from the halo 3 server."
what is thew problem!?
but i can still play gears of war online with no problem.

this same issue came up on me a couple of months ago. I called XBOX live and they told me they were doing some upgrading, which would cause the system to stall, disconnect, etc. This problem eventually went away after the weekend but every once in awhile, it comes back for a day or two.

So, chances are, they're working on the XBOX live network...just give it some time.
