Do you need Xbox Live to get all Halo 3 achievements?

The descriptions for some Halo 3 achievements say "(Online)" at the end of the description. I do not have Xbox Live, so will I be unable to get these achievements?

Yes, you won't be able to get most of the achievements, get live, I couldn't even imagine owning a 360 without it.

That is correct! Some of the achievements are only awarded as a result of multiplayer play. Keep in mind that you get 3 months (on separate accounts) with every new XBOX 360 so as long as you have a broadband internet connection, you're golden.

Yes, you need Xbox Live, those achievements are for matchmaking, the best part of Halo 3. You should definably get XBOX Live, it makes the whole experience better. If you are on a budget get XBOX Live for free @ FREEXBOXTOOLS.tk
