Experts on halo 3 please answer?

Okay so when i am online playing against other people on halo 3 when they are talking i can hear it in the tv and the mic and in my prefrences i have it set to where it is only in the mic so how do i get it to where it is only in the mic is there an option in halo 3 to do it i am having lots and lots of trouble so please help

make sure your mic is plugged up all the way. or you may have a bad mic. unlike the other answers on here I never hear the players voices through my tv its only in my mic.

You can't stop it. When enemies get near you and are talking while not in a party, you can hear them on your TV instead of your headset, when you speak, they hear your on their TV. If you're on the same team however, I have no idea.
