Halo 3 campaign question?

Just a quick question about halo 3 campaign:

If I help my friend beat his campaign on legendary, will that also count as beating my campaign on legendary?

If you don't understand what I'm asking, don't answer.
I haven't beaten mine on legendary yet and he wants me to help him with his. I just dont wanna have to do it twice.
We're doing co op on live

You both get the acheivements so, yes =P it counts for you too
(figuring you do it Co-Op over LIVE)

depends did u beat it on your xbox 360?
if you just beat it for u not him or if u beat it on his xbox360 you beat it for him and not yourself.

if you complete it on co op on live
you both will get the achievements
if you have not beat it on heroic or normal
you will get those achievements aswell
