Halo 3 campaign?

I beat half of the halo 3 campaign on normal and i was wondering if, for example i resume cortana on legendary and beat the game on legendary would it say i beat it on legendary or normal for xbox live?

Yea, you need to play through the campain on 1 difficulty. A really easy thing to do is to get friends together and just beat it on legendary.
