halo 3 catch skull problem?

i am having trouble getting the catch skull....i know where it is and i know that its the correct building....and i also know that you cant kill the wraiths or it dissapears,,,but it just seems not to be there at all......what could it be? also could it be like something with my disk?

Make sure you dont kill the brutes in the wraiths either, and I'd also say attempt it on co-op. i had this problem but i persevered and finally got it. Good Luck!
