Halo 3 help new to xbox and xbox live need help online?

I just got an xbox and xbox live. however every time i try to play on halo 3 it tells me i dont have the required maps to play on that list. What is the deal with that please help

richard is right about every thing expect the legendary pack is only 600MP

ok you can only play lonewolf without the maps go into game add on and go to halo 3

after you do that go down to legendary map pack and theyll let you download for free but might take 30 mins or so


to get mystic map pack wich is bounes maps you gotta buy them but just download legendary map pack

Certain Maps are only playable after they are downloaded. Go to your Dashboard, find "Game Marketplace" and search for Halo 3. I know the Heroic Maps and Cold Storage are free, but it's been a while since I downloaded but the Legendary may ALSO be free. Leaving only the Mythic Maps, which can be bought for 800MS Points. That's about 10 bucks. I don't think Mythic is required to play in any list though.

The first person was close, but not correct. When you go into the game add-ons there will be three map packs and an individual map called Cold Storage. Cold Storage and the Heroic Map pack are both free but the Legendary and Mythic packs will cost you 800 MS points each, which you get if you have a credit card on your Xbox. If you don't, you can usually buy points cards anywhere that sells games.
