Halo 3 help?!!!!!!!?

ok i hav completed campaign on easy on co-op ( i AM a beginer) and then i went on to normal, also on co-op. now in the normal campaign me and my frend r playing the lvl called 'the ark'. then i completed it but i we get no acheivements. the next time we on the xbox its automaticaly on 'the ark' mission start.

You probably didn't save and if you did, your hard drive is probably broken.
