Halo 3 im a 45 but it says im a 44 colonel?

like if i press lonewolves (what my 45 is in) then it says im a brigadier but then i press sumthing else and look at my stats and it says im a 44 colonel and i do have 500 xp so its not my xp... any way to change this?
like i can check im a 45 it just sumtimes says 44
