halo 3 matchmaking (basics)?

i just got xbox live
what is the basics to playing matchmaking
like how to change the map if your the leader
(not in costume games)
(is there a video about it if there is please show me)

in matchmaking you can't change the map...

You can only do this in Custom Games, matchmaking chooses the map and teams. Also you gain no ranks or Exp in Custom Games, but you can do basically whatever you want.
