halo 3 not gaining exp?

While Im in matchmaking i am not gaining any exp and i play with my brother whose does gain exp all the time after we win matches. but i have been disconnected several times due to my internet and wasnt sure if that count towards and quit and if so is that causing me from not ranking up for several matches because ive heard if you quit out once it takes like 5 matches to get back up and gain exp
also ive played

28 ranked matches
13 social matches

and im still listed as a recruit

go to bungie.com and find your account on halo then see if it has changed cause sometimes it takes awhile for it to show up on xbox

you win u get xp, you lose or leave or get DCed (Disconnected) you lose xp, simple concept <3
