Halo 3 online achievements?

how do i get then, do I go to the ranked playlist or to the social playlist to be able to get the achievements?

you have to go into lone wolves.

they require you to be in a ranked FFA (Free For All) playlist, which is usually only lone wolves, but occasionally there are online ranked FFA tournaments as well.

in short the only way to get online achievements is in Lone Wolves, or a tournament playlist
