Halo 3 or Gears of War 2?

Im buying my boyfriend who is 14 one for valentines day and i was just wondering which one you thinks better... =]
its for XBox 360

Halo 3 is more fun to me, but he is 14 which means most of his friends have already played Halo 3 and are now on to newer games.

So, as a good gift, get him Gears of War 2.

He'll have more friends on that game right now.

if your looking for good online play then defintaly halo 3 because the gow 2 online play is so dumb like the smoke grenades are so power full and the chainsaw is so easy to use online, but if u want to just play against bots and do the campainge then go for gow2 the gears of war 2 campain is so awesome but i wont spoil it 4 u ^^

Gears of War 2 has more point to it and there's more action and attacks so i would advise getting gears first then halo
