Halo 3, Please Help!?

I recently got the Xbox 360 pro and Halo 3 this past thursday as a Christmas gift. However, i have been nearly completely upsessed with my Halo 3 game. I have been doing campain all the time and i almost beat the whole game. Well, just this morning, i was searching through my Xbox 360 main menu because on my pro box it says 5 arcade games are included on the Xbox. So i was searching through the Xbox main menu, and yes the Xbox live menu for gold. Anyway, I was in the category My Xbox, and i selected game library looking for my arcade games. Then i decided to just play my halo 3 game cuz the games looked suckish. So while i was in the game library i saw Halo 3, and for some reason without thinking i thought it would have been a short cut to play Halo 3 without going back to the menu selecting play halo 3. So i selected on the halo 3 box and it asks me if i would want to attach it to my hard drive. I thought that ment if i wanted to save my game so i selected that and then it says it is downloading the actual game to my Hard drive, so i hit b to go back but then it says if i continue to go back i would lose my unsaved data. Yeah, and thats the problem, i didn't see that pop up. So i selected b and it took me back and i continued to go to the main menu and i selected my Halo 3 game and i figured i could'uv beat the game that morning. And usually it says at the top of the menu, continue solo game, yeah well there it sayed start solo game. And thats what really ticked me off. I nearly beat the game and know i have to start all the way back from the beginning. Please, is there some way i can get my saved data back?
PLEASE HELP? 10 POINTS + POSITIVE FEEDBCK!!!!!!!

I doubt it. Try contacting xbox. but before you downloaded it to the hard drive.... were you saving to the hard drive. if you did you could try looking through you hard drive to see if you can find it
