Halo 3 Secret Skulls?

I found one secret skull on Sierra 117 the first level and when I pick it up nothing happens it doesn't say I got the achievement or anytthing. Do i have to finish the level with it? Or kill someone with it? Idk ow to acquire the achievement but ik where it is.

no u have it its just that its a silver skull so it doesnt count as an achievement

There are silver skulls and gold skulls. After you pick up gold skulls, you get the achievement. It is not necessary to finish the level.

Its only a silver skull so you wont get any pionts or an achievement for it. you need to get the gold skulls to get the achievements.
