halo 3 security armor? re-locking?

so my gamerscore for halo 3 is over 800, ive accessed all 7 terminals (got the Marathon Man achievement) and accessed the 8th on Cortana

supposedly this is supposed to unlock the Security armor permutation for the Spartan? (according to http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Armor_Permutations ) its not working. i havent gotten it.

am i wrong in believing these steps unlock the armor?

you 'have to have a gamerscore of 1000 or higher in halo 3, in order to unlock the armor.

yea your gamer score has to be a little over 1000 in halo achivements.

according to rumors there was a bug in a halo update some time ago that made some people unable to unlock or made them lose some permutations. i suggest asking on http://www.bungie.net/ but try not to be annoying/vulgar.
P.S. it seems permutations go deeper than just gamerscore because i got my katana at 990 gamerscore while my cousin had over 1000 and never got it.
