How can I become better at halo 3?

I play on xbox live and I'm always the guy who gets killed the most. Anyone have tips?

I am a Colonel grade 3. I always get a + KD what I did was. Make a custom game. set up shooting ranges for sniping. have special games with special weapons. Practice Hiding, jumping, flanking. learn levels. spawn points. pro jumps. Practice with every weapon. Ull get good enough to kill a shotty up close with a sniper one shot. AND ABOVE ALL BR IS UR BEST FRIEND!!! LEARN ITLIVE ITLOVE IT! and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!!!!!!! oh AND SET UR CROUCH TO hold to crouch. and when sniping look sensitivity 4 is better fir beginners. im on 10

i know you probably hear this all the time but practice practice practice what i do is i dont play online until i KNOW that i will put a competition like for gears of war 2 i played the campaign and i got use to the controls and how everything moves and cover and now im pretty good online so just play the campaign, itll help you out

a good tip is always always aim for the head. While you can unload a whole clip into someones body and still have them alive, if you hit them in the head it only takes a few bullets.
