The heroic map pack will be free soon so more people download it. I would assume it will become free when the new legendary map pack is released.
To get griffball you must have the heroic map pack, then go into Bungie favourites by pressing start while just in the games lobbies and download the game type and the map. It's not called griffball though it is some acronym that I can't remember. Something like GROLWB or something.

Ya i heard the heroic map pack is coming out for free soon... I feel bad for the people who spent 800 microsoft points on it. If you have those maps you can play griftball.

Grifball is a social playlist only on the weekends, which offers Double EXP if you win. Grifball is a 4 on 4 Team Game on a Foundry Custom Map made by Bungie. It is only playable on weekends. The Heroic Map Pack is still 800 Microsoft Points, it will be free when the new Legendary Map Pack is released, in June. I've already bought them, they are worth the $10, don't wait, just buy them now, trust me.
