How do I play halo 3 on Xbox Live?

I'm getting live 4 xmas. Im decent at halo. can beat the campain game on like normal and some levels on hard. But i played live with my friend once or twice and i get destroyed. Call me a huge noob. I admit it. How do i get it so i don't get my head blowen off every time i respawn?

it takes a while. u just got to get used to the controls.i was just like that when i got mine. theres really no way u can stop urself from getting blown up other than killing to other person. throw grenades at ur opponant that will help u kill them. hope this helps. good luck!
