I'm not getting my Halo 3 achievements even though I'm doing what they say. Help?

I haven't been getting achievements on Halo 3. A few are the skulls. About 5 of the achievements for them I haven't gotten, and I have Hayabusa Helmet and the rest of Hayabusa. Another is Spartan Officer I just recieved the Officer rank, and I didn't get the achievement. Does anyone know what to do?

there is a glitch that wont let you get your achievements sometimes you will get it sometimes you wont so try to do it again.
