it is insanely good, shoot halo 2s matchmaking was the best ever seen and halo 3 is even better. U have to play halo 3 online or u wont be sastified at all.

Halo 3 cannot be fully experienced until you play it online! Gears of War 2 and Call of Duty: World at War get old after a while, so I just put it the Halo disc and it reminds me how much I love Xbox Live.

Also, if you think you are good and you don't have Xbox Live, you are wrong. There are so many people that are better than you online, but it's not like you will go against the best people at first. The ranking system is very good & useful.

Well there are a lot of different game types, so it's all good in perspective. But it soons gets repeative as you kill members of the opposing team in the same way (shoot + beat down).
