on halo 3 co-op can we get the skull if only one person dies?

if me and a friend are playing can one of do the dying and still get the skull or do both of us have to live the whole time?

that is what you have to right? you have to beat the level without dying or did i hear wrong?

You can die and still get the skull even if one of you are dead.

No you dont have to beat the level with out dying, you can die as often as you want. You just have to have the difficulty atleast at normal.
You just have to FIND the skull in the level.
