On Halo 3, How do you kill the Scarab Tank?

I've gotten to the blue shield inside of the tank, but I can't get it down. I've hit it, I shot it with 12 rockets, I've done everything I could think of. Help!

Use the laser and shoot the hell out of it..

I dont think its the blue shield...I did it all on legendary AGESSSS ago so I cant remember but..theres like a thing that looks but isn't the right thing.

The right thing is in a slightly different place it has like a yellow ball inside it and its like a deployable shield.

Get a tank and shoot the back of the scarab tank ( like the upper back until it explodes ur shooting the back im talking about the UPPER back )

You have to go up top the scarab, go to the back of it past the dudes on the turrets and in side this little room like area but with no side walls and you will see what looks like a little deployable cover and if you melee or shoot it it will change color. just punch of the shield and then punch the device inside till it turns red then get the fuggles out of there... hope this helps!!!
