On Halo 3, it wont allow me to join 1 person in perticular, it says that...

...the request to join has timed outHELP When i sign on to xbox live everything is as it should be. The network settings are perfect ect. but when i try to join the m8 i play most oh Halo 3 with. It says the request to join him has timed out. Its really frustrating as he is the only one i actually play with of my mates and i dont know what to do about it. I dont want to pay £40 for a piece of S*** that wont let me join my friends. Any ideas?

your nat type may be different to his
to open your nat type all you need to do is

go on your xbox go onto network settings, edit settings here you will find your xbox's IP (it will be the same as your computers IP with the last number different)
type in your COMPUTERS IP address into your web browser
here it may ask you for a password
on most routers the username = root
pasword = *blank*
here to you can go to dmz settings, on this page somewhere you will be able to type in your xbox's IP and click apply
now you will have open NAT yay
this should work, well that or your friend may need to do this instead

It could be his NAT is set to strict or moderate when it should be Open, tell him to test his connection by going to system and network settings.

If yours and your friends NATs are both open, then it could be bad connection of some sort.

But first thing to check is NAT, i had the same problem with my friend ( whos now my bf), hes NAT was set to strict whilst my was Open.
