Should halo 3 be rated m?

i think its an ok game. there is not much blood (unless you stand there and shoot and shoot and shoot at a dead guy) and the languange isn't too bad (a few swear words in the story mode). but if you are planning on getting live, there are people who say some BAD stuff on there. there is a way to mute their voices though so that might help.

im 16 right now but i've been playin all halo games since i was 10 and its not that bad. the reason its rated mature is due to all the violence. other than that the game is fairly clean.
I play live and see 8 year old kids playin it so im sure its not much of a deal

Well it is rated "M" because there is guns in it. All the call of duties have gun too but they have blood if you shoot them or stab them. COF is rated "T". I honestly think the cof's are worse than halo. But when your online lots of people swear. Thats why it is rated M. If you dont want him to hear those words dont buy him a head set. Your son it 12 and really not a teen yet. So if you follow those rating then no. When i was his age i played t games so i think it would be fine for him to play halo.
