To play Halo 3 online?

So I have an internet connection and I did the xbox live thing and all the updates. So I go to forge or campaign and when I put to play online. No one appears!!! Is that normal? Can anyone help please

You have to invite friends to play on forge or campaign.

To verse people online go to matchmaking. to play different types of matchmaking make sure you have downloaded the required DLC listed in the details of each game type.

okay so in the main menu you go into matchmaking tab then you gotta select what playlist you want to play in which is the third tab in the matchmaking menu (itll go default into rumble pit) then select find match or start its one of the two. itll then go looking for other players that want to play rumble pit. just give it five minutes and it should find some people that are your skill level that you can play with. if not rumble pit might not have enough people so try a favorite playlist like team slayer.

You have to play matchmaking and meet people first, invite them to your friends list, and then invite them to your campaign or forge game.
