What happens if I send in my xbox 360 halo 3 edition to Microsoft?

Hello, as many others I have now began the terrible process of a red ring of death on my xbox 360 Halo 3 edition. I have heard stories of people sending in their 360s only to receive a completely new one. If I send in my xbox 360 Halo 3 edition, will I receive the Halo 3 edition in return or will I have wasted money and get a plain white one back?

Unfortunately, I think you will just get the original white one.
I hope they don't rip you off on your money, logically they should send you back the Halo 3 edition.
