What is the quickest way to gain experience in Halo 3?

I am currently a Captain grade 2 and have 30 skill points and only 181 experience.

the fastest way to gain experience is to stick to one ranked game just play it over till you get highest skill 50 then just do any other game for experience my gamer tag is YUR MONKEY for further questions

you have to raise your kill/death ratio. in other words dont die and when you have more deaths than kills you lose experience, so dont die as much.
