What will it take to get Recon Armor in Halo 3?

I have killed, been killed, and, have done seemingly impossible and, impressive feats. Alas, no Recon. What will it take FOR REAL? People keep saying things that usually don't work. Anyone know?

It was recently announced that you need to complete all vidmaster challenges to receive recon armor. Vidmaster challenges are those achievements usually worth nothing. I've read it several places but i have not tried it. Read this article. I think Recon armor is going out of style now that everyone is going to be getting it.
