It depends on what you were playing. Some of the games actually make the player invisible. Those ones are horrible. It is called Ninjanut. This wouldn't actually make him run faster or anything but it would make him virtually invisible.
They have other games where you have to keep hold of the ball. When you are in possession of the ball you are able to run faster and jump quicker.
Then again, it may be a cheat. When I am playing I swear people are cheating.
