why does my halo 3 disk have a different cover?

yesterday i got halo 3. i have the original disk but this one was blue with 3 spartans. 1 spartan had recon and the other 2 had well idk but they were hard to unlock. is it the eddition with recon or free maps or what?

This was asked a while ago but I believe the disk you have that you purchased may be a limited edition version of Halo 3. I've seen images of special edition disks online and it seems similar.
